SW Survival Guide

Our mission: Provide free access to fundamental and integral information to the SW community.

With our conferences and online speaker series, we focus on making the maximum positive effort while reducing as much harm as possible for our community.

Seeing a need for sharing information, resources and education, we formed our organization to provide sensible solutions. SW founded, run and supported to increase social equity.

Our amazing team is committed to helping others. We take our convictions and turn them into action. SW Survival Guide is where we stand together against those who oppress Black, brown, transgender, disabled and other marginalized people and often silenced voices.

No one should have to go it alone and life-saving information shouldn’t be gatekept. Rather than position ourselves as experts, we work in tandem and collaborate with community members and organizations to ensure that the right information gets to the people who need it.

We work with and for everyone from veteran sex workers, those thinking about getting in the industry and allies.

Masturbation: the act of stimulating genitals for pleasure is a sacred act of love between self or partners. It can be simple. It can be complex. The only required elements of masturbation are lubrication and consent. Are you curious to explore genital stimulation from a health care provider’s perspective? Join in this sweet lecture as we talk about the anatomy, physiology and wonders of masturbation. Who knows? There may even be some kinky twists you may have never imagined. The speaker guarantees you will learn a thing or two.

About Chris:

Chris (she/her) is a New Jersey native who has been a practicing physician associate for five years. She is currently providing services for LGBTQ+ folk including primary care, gender affirming hormone therapy, mental health and sexual wellness. Her hobbies include hiking, yoga, song writing and playing keyboard. Her motivation in life is love for all living things. Like a stone thrown into water creates ripples that extend outwards Chris’ mission is to radiate love into the collective consciousness. A self-defined seeker of experiences, she found herself connecting to people in ways outside of traditional roles. Becoming informed about alternative lifestyles including the BDSM, fetish and kink communities empowered her to embrace the desire for alternative forms of pleasure. The information she has garnered as a person practicing risk-aware consensual kink has improved all facets of life through the values of communication, honesty and integrity. She is very excited to combine her passion for evidence-based medicine and pleasure for this lecture series.
